AG Insurance - Soudal to Dwars door Vlaanderen

Wednesday brings the last appointment before De Ronde van Vlaanderen, and our team is keen on giving its best once again and fighting for a good result in Waregem, where the 128.8km race starts and concludes. It will be for the first time that this event will be part of the Women’s World Tour calendar, and as was the case at the past editions, the course should make for an exciting race.

Six cobbled sectors and eight climbs - including Berg Ten Houte, Hotond and Eikenberg - are the difficulties of the day, favouring the attackers. In the last 20 kilometers, the riders will also tackle twice the Herlegemstraat, the narrow and technical pavé section which can shake things up and play a decisive role in the outcome.

Fauve Bastiaenssen, Letizia Borghesi, Alana Castrique, Marthe Goossens, Mauritian Champion Kim Le Court-Pienaar - who will make her debut here - and Nicole Steigenga will be the six AG Insurance - Soudal riders taking on the 14th edition of Dwars door Vlaanderen.

“We start with a strong team, with Kim and Letizia as our leaders. We hope to feature in the finale in what will be an important test for Sunday’s De Ronde. The motivation is there and we are ready to give everything for a good result”, said sports director Fien Delbaere.
