In the seventh edition of the GP Isbergues, held in the Nord region of France, Maaike Boogaard secured an impressive win for AG Insurance – Soudal. The race, which spanned 131.6 kilometers through the challenging terrain of the Pas-de-Calais department, saw Maaike prevail after a thrilling finale.

It was our rider’s first success of the season and the team’s 12th this year, after a hard day which comprised several demanding climbs, including Côte de Heuchin and Côte de Lisbourg.

The team performed exceptionally well today. In every move, there was always at least one of us involved, and we had control throughout the race. Maaike also spent a long time leading the race. In the final 13 kilometers, she and the six best riders broke away from the peloton and handled it with great composure. Her sprint was truly impressive. This victory is well-deserved; for me, she was the strongest rider in the race today. In short, it was a fantastic performance by both Maaike and the entire team,” said AG Insurance - Soudal sports director Stijn Steels after the race.
