Brugge – De Panne celebrated its eighth edition today. Starting on the iconic Markt in Brugge and finishing in De Panne, the riders covered 152.7 kilometres, including two local laps of 42.9 kilometres each in the final part of the race.

Although this race is known for potential echelons on the open and often windy roads of the Westhoek, the weather forecast had already indicated a different scenario. With little wind on the course, the peloton largely stayed together, leading to the expected bunch sprint.

Nicole Steigenga positioned herself well in the finale and sprinted to a solid 13th place for AG Insurance – Soudal.

"I think we rode a really strong race as a team up until the 150-kilometre mark. Everyone worked hard and gave their best. Unfortunately, we lost each other a bit towards the end, which meant we couldn't fully execute the original plan. Personally, I'm happy with how I felt today. We'll take this experience with us into the next race. On to the next one!" said Nicole.
