Strong team performance rewarded with podium finish for Lore De Schepper in Chambéry.

AG Insurance - Soudal delivered an impressive collective performance today at the Grand Prix Féminin de Chambéry. After an aggressive and exciting race, Lore capped off the team’s hard work with an excellent third-place finish.

From the longer laps onward, the team took control of the race, setting a high tempo and making the race as demanding as possible. With a proactive and well-executed strategy, AG Insurance - Soudal put the competition under constant pressure.

In the final phase, the focus shifted to Lore and Urska, who continued to push the pace on the निर्णative climbs. An attack on the longest and steepest climb briefly created a breakaway of three riders, but it did not last. The race was ultimately decided on the final climb, where teamwork once again proved decisive.

Lore De Schepper reflected on the race:

“The race was really enjoyable. From the longer laps onwards, we really took control of the race as a team and tried to make it as hard as possible. It was a super team effort from everyone, and especially Julie, who was definitely the MVP of the day. It was phenomenal how she rode.

In the final, it was up to me and Urska to keep the pace high. I attacked on the longest, steepest climb and we got away with three riders, but unfortunately it didn’t last.

Then it was all about the final climb and going as hard as possible to the top. Urska did an amazing job keeping me in position, and I surprised myself by still being able to sprint to third place. It gives me confidence and motivation heading into the big races next week.”
