A packed weekend for AG Insurance - Soudal

Five riders of our Devo squad will be present at the start of the two Belgian one-day races.

Dwars door Wingene (138km) and Grote Prijs Beveren (138.5km) are the next two races for our team, scheduled on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Both have a flat course, which means that many teams will try to control things and make sure it comes down to a bunch sprint, but the narrow roads and technical parts of the course could give some ideas to the attackers.

These two appointments will be a nice opportunity for our Devo riders to show themselves, as five members of the feeder squad will be there together with Fauve Bastiaenssen, the only AG Insurance - Soudal rider at the start: Anna Bruneel, Leonie Bentveld, Billy Goossens, Emma Siegers, and Marith Vanhove, who finished top ten at the Argenta Classic just a few days ago.

“Wingene and Beveren will be a good chance for our young riders to demonstrate what they are capable of, as they have shown recently that they are in good shape. Marith is one of the fastest riders at the start, so we’ll try to support her, but we can also make the race hard with other riders. It goes without saying we have ambitions for this weekend and we will do our best to get some good results”, said sports director Stijn Steels.
