AG Insurance – Soudal kicks off preparations for 2025 in Calpe
With the new season on the horizon, the women’s team of AG Insurance – Soudal is traditionally preparing under the Spanish sun in Calpe. The riders are staying at the Suitopia Sol y Mar hotel, which also serves as the men’s team headquarters and will be the squad’s base from 9 to 20 December. After a short break, this training camp is the perfect opportunity to reconnect, welcome new faces, and lay the groundwork for a successful season.
Almost a full roster present
Of the 19 riders, 17 are currently present. Anya Louw and Sarah Gigante are absent, as they are in Australia at the moment. Sarah Gigante is recovering from a recent surgery for iliac artery endofibrosis and is working hard on her rehabilitation.
This season, the team welcomes five new riders: Alex Manly, Urska Zigart, Alana Castrique, Fauve Bastiaenssen, and Gladys Verhulst. These additions bring a mix of experience and talent, giving the team an extra edge for the upcoming year.
New kit and content creation
A highlight of this training camp is the unveiling of the new kit for 2025. The riders not only get to see the new jersey but also receive it. This moment is being used to capture visuals and create content that will soon be shared with the public. The new kit promises to once again showcase the team’s strong identity and will be officially revealed soon.
Focus on Santos Tour Down Under
The first major objective of the season is the Santos Tour Down Under. Last year, AG Insurance – Soudal enjoyed tremendous success in Australia, with victories by Ally Wollaston and Sarah Gigante, the latter also claiming the overall classification. This training camp lays the foundation for another strong performance in this important race.
With a solid preparation in Calpe, the addition of new talents, and a fresh look with the new kit, AG Insurance – Soudal looks ahead to the 2025 season with confidence.
