AG Insurance – Soudal U23 riders shine in Top 15 at European Championship

On Wednesday, the European Championships kicked off with the time trials for both U23 and elite women. The 31,3 kilometer route from Heusden-Zolder to Hasselt brought some impressive performances from the AG Insurance – Soudal team.

In a highly competitive U23 race, no fewer than four riders from AG Insurance – Soudal managed to secure a spot in the top 15:

• Febe Jooris finished in an impressive 8th place
• Marthe Goossens secured 9th place
• Laura Lizette Sander followed in 10th place
• Maud Rijnbeek came in at 11th place

It was a day full of challenges, with the weather conditions not working in the riders' favor. Febe Jooris reflected on the race with mixed feelings:

"I have very mixed emotions. I had a great day, one where I could have aimed for the podium, but unfortunately, the weather conditions weren't ideal. This brought some uncertainty, especially in the technical sections. However, I rode a really good time trial without any decline in performance, and I’m happy about that. Considering that the past few weeks haven't been great for me, this is a decent result."

Additionally, in the elite category, Mireia Benito achieved the best result for AG Insurance – Soudal, finishing in a solid 20th place.
