On Tuesday, October 29, the route for the 2025 Tour de France Femmes was officially unveiled. Among the attendees was AG Insurance – Soudal rider Justine Ghekiere, who is eagerly looking forward to this challenging edition of the Tour. The Tour de France Femmes will take place from July 26 to August 3, featuring several exciting new elements.

The fourth edition of the Tour de France Femmes will cover a demanding 1,165 kilometers across nine stages — a first in the race’s history. Riders will face a total of 17,240 meters of elevation, including two stages for punchers, two clear sprinter stages, and an impressive final stage over the Joux Plane. Another highlight will be the queen stage, taking riders over the iconic Col de la Madeleine.

The Grand Départ will be in the heart of Brittany, a region known for its deep passion for cycling. The opening stage promises excitement right from the start, with a finish atop the Côte de Cadoudal in Plumelec, which riders will climb three times. Stage two offers punchers another chance with a hilly course that ends in an uphill finish in Quimper. Stages 3 and 4 are tailored for the sprinters, while day 5 presents challenging opportunities for breakaway specialists.

After the course presentation, Justine Ghekiere shared her excitement and goals for the 2025 Tour de France Femmes: “The stages are going to be quite challenging. I’m glad there’s no time trial – the more stages, the better for me. Although the early stages are relatively short, I wouldn’t mind if they were longer. Stage five looks like a great fit for me. I think there will be good opportunities, especially if I have a strong start to the season.”

“My focus won’t be on the overall classification; rather, I’ll aim for a stage win. The mid-range stages offer promising chances. The Col de la Madeleine might be out of reach for me, but I believe I can make an impact in other stages. Last year, there was an incredible number of fans along the roads, and I hope we can enjoy that kind of amazing support again next year.”
