AG Insurance - Soudal travelling to France

This weekend brings a pair of hilly one-day races, which our team will start with a lot of motivation.

La Périgord (126.2km) and La Picto - Charentaise (139.2km) is where AG Insurance - Soudal will be in action next. Both races have a hilly course, comprising narrow roads and plenty of short but punchy climbs that can fragment the peloton and make a selection to the point where only a small group is still in contention for the victory.

Fauve Bastiaenssen, Tess Moerman, Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio, Emma Siegers, Omloop van Borsele winner Nicole Steigenga and Luca Vierstraete are the six riders who will pin on a number for Saturday and Sunday - a strong mix of World Tour and Devo riders capable of leaving its mark on the two races.

“It’s going to be a nice weekend in France. For the first appointment, we have in Ashleigh, Emma and Tess several cards to play, so we are quite confident in our chances. The second event is a bit easier and could come down to a bunch sprint, in which case we will support Nicole, but we are prepared also for a selective race”, said sports director Stijn Steels.
