Saturday: Duracell Dwars Door Het Hageland

On Saturday, June 8, the Hageland will once again set the stage for one of the most renowned gravel races of the year. The riders taking on Dwars door het Hageland will face 17 gravel or cobblestone sections on their way to the finish at the spectacular citadel of Diest, where the race concludes after 128.3 kilometers.

Our selection for this race consists of Ally Wollaston, Lore De Schepper, Mirre Knaven, Julia Kopecky, and Margot Marasco.

“This is a beautiful race and a great opportunity for the young riders to measure themselves in a tough competition. During Epic, we showed that we can also compete for the victory on gravel roads”, said sports director Stijn Steels.

Sunday: SPAR Flanders Diamond Tour

On Sunday, AG Insurance – Soudal will take to the start of the eighth edition of the SPAR Flanders Diamond Tour.

The riders will cover a course of 136.4 kilometers through Nijlen, Bevel, and Kessel. The start and finish are located on the Bevelsesteenweg in Nijlen.

The route consists of eleven laps, each 12.4 kilometers long, with each lap featuring three cobblestone sections. The AG Insurance – Soudal selection for the SPAR Flanders Diamond Tour includes Fien Masure, Julia Borgström, Laura Lizette Sander, Leonie Bentveld, Maaike Boogaard, Marthe Goossens, and Mirre Knaven.

“It promises to be a fast race with a high chance of a bunch sprint, where we can play Mirre and Marthe to our advantage. Meanwhile, the others can seize their opportunities along the way”, concluded Stijn Steels.

In addition, the elite team will be at the start of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, which will take place from Friday to Sunday.
