Ashleigh Moolman Pasio, the leading rider of the AG Insurance - Soudal Team, secured second place in the Trofeo Palma Femina, a prominent event in the Women's Mallorca Challenge 2024.

This race, spanning 138.2 kilometers with challenging climbs and an uphill finish, was won by Magdeleine Vallieres of EF Education-Cannondale following a powerful solo effort. Ashleigh closely followed, finishing a strong sprint just 16 seconds behind Vallieres and ahead of Mavi García from the Spanish national team, who took third place.

Reflecting on her performance, Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio said, “Today was a great race in Mallorca for AG Insurance – Soudal. The collaboration between the girls was top-notch again. Ilse and Maaike played a crucial role at the beginning, after which Mireia, truly our superwoman, took over. She set a fantastic pace on the climbs and kept everything tightly under control. With two particularly challenging descents, especially the second-to-last where I fell a bit behind, the team support from Mireia, Marthe, and Justine was indispensable to close the gap. During the final climb, Movistar pushed hard, making us chase a group of five, with Mavi being the top favorite. I managed to join just before the last descent. That was the moment when the EF rider broke away, with Mavi and me in pursuit. On the last climb, we made a final attempt to catch her, but her lead was too great, so I focused on the sprint for second place. I am extremely proud of the team's effort. We are now even more motivated for tomorrow and determined to aim for that top step on the podium.”
