AG Insurance - Soudal Team conclude the Vuelta a Burgos Feminas 2026 with several strong performances across the four stages, combining consistency in the sprints, aggressive racing and a strong general classification result.

The race started with two fast sprint stages where Shari Bossuyt proved her consistency by finishing inside the top ten on both occasions. The Belgian rider sprinted to fifth place on the opening day before adding another top ten result in stage two.

Stage three saw the team race aggressively from start to finish. Nicole Steigenga represented the squad in the breakaway before Mireia Benito launched a brave solo attack with 25 kilometres remaining. The Spanish national time trial champion stayed clear until the final kilometres before sprinting to second place after being joined late in the stage.

On the final summit finish towards Lagunas de Neila, Mireia once again showed her strong form by finishing fourth on the stage and securing fourth place in the overall general classification. Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio also delivered a strong ride in the mountains and concluded the race in 11th overall.

We went all in for a good GC result and wanted to give everything on that final climb. Mireia and Ash did just that,” concluded Sports Manager Jolien D'Hoore. “Mireia climbed amazingly, pacing herself really well, and Ash was up there supporting her. In the end, Mireia was fourth in GC and Ash 11th. No regrets, because Mireia gave it all.

I’m super proud of the girls and how they rode today, but also all week. The team atmosphere was fantastic. We went all in for one goal, and today we finished with a good feeling.

Mireia also reflected proudly on the collective effort after the stage: “I’m so grateful to the team. They absolutely nailed it today. This whole Vuelta a Burgos felt special. We were back to being a true Wolfpack, everyone fully committed each day. Ash kicked things off on the climb with some attacks to drop others, then I kept a steady pace. We regrouped, she gave everything to set me up for the best finish.

I gave it all. No regrets, I couldn’t have gone a second faster. I think we can be proud of what we achieved, and this is just the start.
