Caroline Andersson joins AG Insurance - Soudal Team from 2027

AG Insurance - Soudal Team is pleased to announce the signing of Caroline Andersson, who will join the team from the 2027 season on a three-year contract through to the end of 2029.

The 25-year-old Swede has developed into a versatile rider capable of performing across a wide range of terrains. Racing at WorldTour level since 2023, Andersson has gained valuable experience in some of the biggest races on the calendar, including the Tour de France Femmes and the Olympic road race. She has also established herself as a strong rider for selective one-day races and demanding stage races.

Andersson's recent performances underline her continued progression. In 2025, she finished an impressive 11th in the road race at the UCI Road World Championships, underlining her ability to perform on the biggest stage. In 2026, she continued that progression with a fourth-place finish at Le Samyn Ladies, before delivering a strong performance at the Tour of Britain Women. After finishing third on the uphill third stage, Andersson moved into fourth place overall and maintained that position through to the end of the race.

Her fourth place in the final general classification of the Tour of Britain Women, a UCI Women's WorldTour stage race, is the latest indication of Andersson's ability to compete at the highest level.

Alongside her road career, Andersson has also achieved success in cyclo-cross, becoming Swedish national champion in the discipline in both the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons.

Her versatility and racing experience will add depth to the AG Insurance - Soudal Team line-up, with Andersson expected to play an important role in the team's tactics, particularly in one-day races and selective finales.

Sports Manager Jolien D’hoore: "Caroline is a very versatile rider who will add depth to our team. She is an experienced rider who can play an important role in our tactics, especially in one-day races. I'm sure she will make a positive impact both on and off the bike. We're very pleased to welcome Caroline and look forward to seeing what we can achieve together."

For Andersson, joining AG Insurance - Soudal represents an exciting new chapter in her career and the opportunity to become part of a pack she has admired since childhood.

Caroline Andersson: "I'm super excited to join AG Insurance - Soudal. From the very first meeting with the team, it already felt like the right place for me. I immediately felt that it was a team where I could see myself fitting in and developing further."

"I've looked up to The Wolfpack since I was a child. I've always been a big fan of the Classics and have followed both the men's and women's teams, racing as a pack. Being part of that is something I've looked up to for a long time, so it's really cool to now have the opportunity to join the team."

"I hope I can make a difference, especially by supporting the team in the stage races and Classics, while also taking my own opportunities when they come. I'm really looking forward to this new experience and to seeing what we can achieve together."

Andersson will represent our green and blue colours from the 1st of January 2027, beginning a three-year journey with AG Insurance - Soudal through to the end of 2029.
