Emma Siegers steps up to the WorldTour with AG Insurance - Soudal
AG Insurance - Soudal is pleased to announce that Emma Siegers will make the step up to the team’s WorldTour squad from next season, signing a contract for at least two years.
The 21-year-old Belgian has been part of the team’s development programme for the past two seasons and has continued to make significant progress throughout her time with the team. Her performances, consistency and development have earned her the opportunity to take the next step and join the WorldTour squad from 2027 onwards.
Siegers has particularly impressed in stage races throughout the 2026 season, showing her ability to perform consistently over several days against strong competition. She opened her season strongly at the Setmana Ciclista Volta Femenina de la Comunitat Valenciana, where she finished an impressive fifth in the young rider classification in a highly competitive field.
Later in the season, Siegers took her first stage-race victories, winning the opening stages of both the Tour de Feminin and the Volta a Portugal Femenina. Her performances across these races demonstrated not only her ability to fight for stage victories, but also her consistency and potential in multi-day stage races.
Now, after two seasons of development within the team, Siegers is ready for the next chapter of her career. Her move to the WorldTour squad continues the team's commitment to developing young talent and providing a clear pathway from the development team to the highest level of women's cycling.
Jolien D’hoore, SportiveManager: “Emma has shown over the past seasons that she has the talent, mentality and consistency to take this next step. Making the transition to the WorldTour is a big moment in her career, but we’re confident she’s ready for the challenge. She’s a rider who continues to learn and develop every year and we’re excited to see how she can grow at the highest level. We’ll give her the support and opportunities she needs to make that transition and establish herself on the World Tour.”
Emma Siegers: “I’m very happy to stay with the team and take the next step in my career by joining the WorldTour team. I’ve spent the past two seasons within this team, and I’ve really enjoyed being part of this environment. I feel very comfortable here and I know I can continue to develop and learn from the riders and staff around me. I’m very grateful for the trust the team has shown in me and I’m excited to continue this journey together. I can’t wait to start this new chapter and see what we can achieve together.”
Siegers’ promotion represents another important milestone in her development and underlines the strength of the pathway within AG Insurance - Soudal. Having progressed through the team's development programme, she will now take on a new challenge at WorldTour level and continue her development alongside the team's established riders and staff.
