AG Insurance – Soudal returns to Italy

Kim Le Court, Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio and Urska Zigart will all be back in action with the squad.

Only a couple of races separate us from the end of what has been another successful season, and our team will look to finish it on a high note, while showing the same determination and fighting spirit that have brought us so many great victories and memorable moments this year.

 

Giro dell’Emilia Donne - 04/10

The first appointment will be Saturday’s Giro dell’Emilia Donne, the 126.7km race taking place between Mirandola and San Luca, the emblematic hill lying not far from Bologna. A brutal ascent, which averages 10% over just two kilometers, San Luca is set to feature twice in the final 15 kilometers and is once again expected to play a major role in the outcome.

AG Insurance – Soudal is prepared to take on this challenge with a strong six-rider squad consisting of Fauve Bastiaenssen, Liège-Bastogne-Liège winner Kim Le Court, Anya Louw, Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio – who has twice concluded on the podium here – Nicole Steigenga, and the 19-year-old Helena Jones, who is coming from the U23 team.

 

Tre Valli Varesine - 07/10

Three days later, our squad will be at the start of Tre Valli Varesine, whose relentless up-and-down parcours built around the Montello hill – which the peloton will climb a total of six times – promises lots of action and fireworks. Julia Borgström, Marthe Goossens, Kim Le Court, Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio, Tour de Romandie podium finisher Urska Zigart, and Helena Jones are the AG Insurance – Soudal riders who’ll fight for a good result next Tuesday.

“Giro dell’Emilia’s San Luca is an incredibly steep climb, but having Kim – who comes here after a solid outing at the World Championships – gives us confidence we can be in contention for a good result. In Tre Valli, we have more cards to play, which will allow us to go on the offensive, so we are also looking forward to this hard one-day race where we hope to be once again in the mix”, said sports director Stijn Steels.
