Jolien looks back at the 2022 season
The season is over so it’s time to look back upon this season. First up is AG Insurance-NXTG sports director Jolien D’hoore who had front row seats for many of the great moments and quite often also was the architect behind them.
“The best memory for me was Ride London and then especially that final stage where we rode so strongly as a team. Everyone was on top of her game and the cherry on the cake was the white jersey for Julia.
I also have fond memories of the training camp we had before the Tour de France. We really become a very tight team there during those nights around the bbq. The Tour de France itself was a rollercoaster of emotions with ups like the white jersey for Julia or that day in the breakaway with Anya but also the downs which were the really hard crashes of Ally and Gaia.
I am so proud of the road everyone progressed on. They took huge steps in a short amount of time, all of them. For me it was all new working as a sports director but I am happy I got my first steps as a DS with this group of riders. They really made my job easier.
