The fourth stage of the Tour de France Femmes took place on Wednesday, from Valkenburg to Liège. On a rainy day, the riders faced a challenging 122.7-kilometer course, with a finish identical to that of Liège-Bastogne-Liège, including the well-known climbs of Côte de la Redoute and Côte de la Roche-aux-Faucons. This day turned out to be a fantastic stage for AG Insurance-Soudal.

With around 25 kilometers to go, Justine secured the QOM points on the Côte des Forges and decided to continue the attack solo. She held on until just before the top of the Côte de la Roche-aux-Faucons, where she was caught. This bold move earned her the Combativity Award and moved her up to fourth place in the mountain classification.

Kim Le Court managed to sprint to a commendable fourth place in a smaller group behind the leading group at the finish in Liège. This result elevates her to fourth place in the general classification.

After the race, an enthusiastic Justine said: “It was a really tough race, and every time I had the chance to earn points for the mountain jersey, I went for it. After La Redoute, I was completely spent and thought my race was over. But then I decided to give it my all on the second-to-last climb. I noticed I had a gap and went full throttle, thinking it would help Kim, who was still behind me for the final stretch. I hoped to secure the points on the Côte de la Roche-aux-Faucons, but when I saw the 500m sign and looked back, I saw Demi Vollering and the other specialists closing in, and I thought my race was finished. I’m definitely happy to have been named the most combative rider—it’s a really nice reward. We also had a plan with Kim, and I’m thrilled because I heard she finished fourth. She had a great race, and I’m really happy with the result for the team today.
