Kim Le Court claims victory on Stage 3 of the Tour of Britain Women

Kim Le Court delivered a powerful performance on Stage 3 of the Tour of Britain Women, taking a hard-fought victory after a superb team effort from AG Insurance – Soudal Team.

The Mauritian rider was perfectly supported throughout the stage, with the Wolfpack controlling the race and positioning Le Court for the decisive finale. On the final climb, Le Court gave everything to the top and managed to create the difference needed to claim the stage victory and strengthen her position in the race.

The victory is particularly meaningful for Le Court after last year's Tour of Britain, where she was forced to abandon following a crash. With her teammate also unable to continue in this year's race after suffering a broken collarbone, the win carried an additional emotional significance.

Kim Le Court: "I gave everything I had to the top and I'm really happy to take the win. The team was incredible again today, just like they have been throughout the past three days. I really missed my teammate (Gladys Verhulst-Wild) today. She's been out of the race with a broken collarbone, and I wanted to ride for her."

"We both came back to this Tour with the idea of making up for what happened last year, when we both crashed out. So this victory is for her. Having her support and knowing that I'm riding for her gives me even more motivation."

With the leader's jersey now on her shoulders, Le Court remains cautious ahead of the remaining stages. The Mauritian is determined to stay focused and keep the team united as they look to defend their position.

"Now we just have to stay positive, keep our heads on our shoulders and not get too confident. We know from last year that anything can still happen. We just have to keep riding as a team like we've done over the past three days. If we do that, we can be confident in our chances."

The Tour of Britain Women continues, with AG Insurance - Soudal Team ready to fight together for the remaining stages and defend the jersey.
