Kim Le Court fifth in Urbino – Giro d’Italia Women

In the fourth stage of the Giro d’Italia Women, which took place from Imola to the historic city of Urbino, known as a Renaissance gem and UNESCO World Heritage site, AG Insurance – Soudal rider Kim Le Court delivered an impressive performance. After covering a distance of 134 kilometers in hot temperatures, she climbed to fifth place in the general classification.

The strong teamwork of AG Insurance – Soudal has also secured the team a fourth position in the team classification. Lore De Schepper remains third in the young rider classification, and Justine Ghekiere holds her fifth place in the mountain classification.

“We had a plan today and the riders executed it perfectly. The plan was for Justine to be at the front on the first climb to take points for the mountain jersey, and she did that. Then she had to wait for Kim, who was supposed to attack on the second climb. Kim joined Justine and from that moment, they had only one goal: to gain seconds in the general classification. They executed it perfectly and we are now fifth with Kim in the general classification, 51 seconds behind. It was truly a team effort today. Everyone played their part and the teamwork was perfect”, said Sports director Jolien D’hoore.
