Kim Le Court-Pienaar extends with AG Insurance – Soudal

The Mauritius Champion adds two more years to her existing contract, which was set to run until end of 2026.

AG Insurance – Soudal and Kim Le Court-Pienaar have agreed on a new deal that will see the Liège–Bastogne–Liège winner ride for our team until the end of 2028. A member of the squad since 2024, Kim has had two amazing years in the jersey of AG Insurance – Soudal, which she now prepares to lead at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.

A stage win at last year’s Giro d’Italia and fourth overall in Catalunya, together with a pair of titles at the National Championships of Mauritius, were her stand-out results in the first season with the squad, before she took things to another level this year. Kim started her campaign by finishing a strong third overall in UAE, followed by a string of top ten results in the Classics – Milano-Sanremo, Ronde van Vlaanderen and Flèche Wallonne. Everything pointed to a career-defining victory, which came at Liège–Bastogne–Liège – a huge success for AG Insurance – Soudal and African cycling.

“Extending with AG Insurance – Soudal was an easy decision. I believe in the people, the project, and in the path we’re building together. This team gives me the platform and belief to chase the sport’s biggest goals, but also something even more important: it feels like home. When you spend most of the year away, being part of a team that shares your values and feels like family makes all the difference”, said 29-year-old Kim, who last month retained her road and time trial national titles.

“We are extremely proud to extend our collaboration with Kim. Over the past season, she has proven herself not only as a talented rider but also as a reliable teammate with great racing instinct. Her victory in Liège–Bastogne–Liège was a clear example of her potential at the highest level. We believe Kim still has a lot of room to grow, and we’re excited to support her development over the coming years. Keeping her in our team aligns perfectly with our long-term goals to compete consistently in the biggest races.”, team manager Jolien D’hoore said of the news.

“Kim is experiencing a magical season so far, taking the first Monument win for the team in Liège-Bastogne-Liège and showing her GC capacities at the UAE Tour. She has a lot of potential and we are confident that we are giving her the perfect environment to further develop and show what she is capable of. We’re delighted to extend the contract of Kim, who is not just a fantastic rider, but also a great person”, explained AG Insurance – Soudal and Soudal Quick-Step CEO Jurgen Foré.
