Laura Lizette Sander, a rider in the U23 team of AG Insurance – Soudal, has claimed the gold medal at the Estonian Time Trial Championship. The race was held in Varbusa, located in southeastern Estonia, over a challenging course of 19.4 kilometers.
Laura Lizette Sander dominated the race with an impressive average speed of 44.37km/h. She finished more than one minute ahead of Elisabeth Ebras (UAE), while Aidi Gerde Tuisk (Team Coop Repsol) rounded out the podium.
Since 2021, Laura Lizette has won gold medals every year at the Estonian Championships, both in time trials and on the road. This means she has secured gold for the fourth consecutive year. On Saturday, June 22, she will once again compete in the Estonian Road Championship, where she will defend her title.
"The time trial went really well; I felt great and gave it everything I had. The 19.4-kilometer course was challenging, with hilly sections and rough roads, which certainly made it tough. I had my sights set on the title and went all out for it. Now it’s time to focus on giving my best in the road race", said an enthusiastic Laura Lizette.
