Letizia Borghesi celebrates emotional queen stage victory at the Eneco Tour

A special victory for Letizia Borghesi and AG Insurance - Soudal! The Italian rider claimed an impressive win on the queen stage of the Eneco Tour, launching a bold solo attack in the final 700 metres to take a well-deserved victory.

After months of hard work and near misses, Borghesi finally got her reward. Despite suffering a puncture on the final lap, she fought her way back into contention before making her decisive move on the cobbles, using her strength and technical skills to leave her rivals behind.

The emotions were clear at the finish line as Borghesi celebrated a long-awaited victory, made even sweeter just one day after her birthday.

"I've been waiting a long time for this victory. I kept believing, and I'm so grateful to have a team that always believed in me. This win is for them," said an emotional Borghesi.

With this victory, Borghesi moves up to third place in the general classification, heading into the final stage of the Eneco Tour.
