Lore finishes solo at the 21st Grand Prix de Chambéry

AG Insurance - Soudal made a strong impression on French soil this weekend at the 21st edition of the Grand Prix de Chambéry, highlighted by a remarkable solo victory from Lore De Schepper. The team proudly lined up with both the U23 and U19 teams, with the action centered around Place Paul Vachez in the heart of Chambéry.
The U23 team competed on a demanding 112-kilometer race that took them through the streets of Chambery le Vieux, Landiers-zone, Voglans, Sonnaz, and back to Chambéry le Vieux.
“I'm really delighted, I secretly hoped for it, but at the same time, it was perhaps a bit ambitious. I led solo for about half of the race, for three laps, which made it particularly tough. This victory even feels more special than last year's. Julia and I were designated to set the pace from the beginning. Julia noticed early in the race that her legs weren't at their best, which gave me the opportunity to make my move. By the penultimate climb, I realized that it would take a lot for me not to maintain the lead. So, I gave it my all and pushed hard on the last climb. The last 400 meters were a bit panicky as I couldn't shift to my biggest gear and thought they might still catch me, but fortunately, I managed to stay ahead”, an enthusiastic Lore shared after her victory.
