Luca Vierstraete & Co take fifth in the Mixed Relay

Luca Vierstraete, Duarte Marivoet, Anna Vanderaerden, Sente Sentjens, Emma Siegers, Lars Vanden Heede - these were the six juniors who represented Belgium in the Mixed Relay at the European Championships in Drenthe. They completed the 38.4km flat course in and secured a commendable fifth place, with Italy, Germany, France, and the Netherlands finishing ahead of them.

Luca was very excited after the mixed relay: "We truly enjoyed the time trial with this fantastic team, and we produced a good speed. It was unfortunate that Anna had a fall in the final turn, which naturally cost us some speed, but we are very pleased with our fifth place. I want to emphasize that the boys also rode strongly and performed fantastically. Together, we delivered a great race."
