Luca Vierstraete crowned Belgian U23 Time Trial Champion in Heusden-Zolder

On May 1st, the AG Insurance - Soudal U23 Team lined up for the Belgian National Time Trial Championships for U23 women in Heusden-Zolder. 

The fast and largely flat 22.6-kilometre course demanded precision, power and aerodynamic efficiency. And our riders delivered.

Luca Vierstraete rode a dominant time trial and claimed victory with a time of 31 minutes and 55 seconds, averaging 42.486 km/h. “I felt really good after two tough training days in the Ardennes with Belgian Cycling,” Luca explained. “My legs felt strong during the warm-up. I would’ve liked to do more kilometres, but in the end it worked out with just 13. From Poperinge, it’s now straight towards the Belgian Championships.”

Just eight seconds behind her, teammate Emma Siegers secured a strong second place. A double podium for AG Insurance - Soudal U23 and a testament to the strength of our development program.
