Medical update: Shari Bossuyt

AG Insurance - Soudal provides an update on Shari Bossuyt, following her crash during Paris-Roubaix Femmes Hauts-de-France.

Shari was involved in a heavy crash during the race and was unfortunately forced to abandon. She was immediately attended to by the team’s medical staff on site and subsequently underwent further examinations.

These have confirmed that, fortunately, no fractures were sustained. Shari suffered multiple bruises and wounds, and will now take the necessary time to recover under the supervision of the team’s medical team.

Reflecting on the incident, Shari said: “Not how I imagined to finish my Spring Classic period. I had to pull out after a heavy crash. Fortunately I haven’t suffered any serious injuries, just a few bruises and wounds. I’ll need some time to recover. I wish everyone involved a speedy recovery.”
