Mirre Knaven clinched third place for AG Insurance – Soudal in the U23 category at the Dutch Cyclocross Championship at Paviljoen Nijstad in Hoogeveen. She shared the podium with Lauren Molengraaf in second place and champion Leonie Bentveld.

The course, approximately 2.7 kilometers long, offered a mix of technical challenges, including sand sections, off-camber corners, and various natural obstacles. These elements, along with a 50-minute race duration, made the race both exciting and demanding for the riders. The route also included a passage over the beach of Surfplas and a unique section across the pavilion terrace, leading the riders to the finish line.

“I really enjoyed the race, despite initially being concerned about the challenging course. But, surprisingly, it went much better than I expected during the race. Even after a fall at the start, where I had to come back from quite a deficit, everything went surprisingly smoothly. It's fantastic to end my season this way! Now, my focus is on road racing”, said an enthusiastic Mirre.
