AG Insurance - Soudal to Ronde de Mouscron

Two World Tour riders and five of our devo riders will be in action at the fifth edition of the Belgian race.

We start next week in the province of Hainaut, where our team will be at the start of the Ronde de Mouscron. The 125km race has a pan-flat parcours, which means the breakaway has slim chances of holding off the peloton, where the sprinters’ teams will share responsibility to chase the attackers and bring them back before the final part.

Nicole Steigenga will lead the squad at this race which she came close to winning four years ago, when she finished runner-up in the bunch sprint. The 28-year-old will be joined on the start line by Fauve Bastiaenssen and five Devo Team riders: Messane Bräutigam, Anna Bruneel, Nina Lavenu, Marith Vanhove and Borlo ITT winner Luca Vierstraete.

“Mouscron is known as being a race for the fast riders, so there’s a big chance of seeing another mass gallop on Monday. Nicole knows well this race, she was on the podium in the past and hopes to be again in contention. She will be supported by our Devo riders, who’ll be extra motivated to show what they are capable of”, said AG Insurance - Soudal sports director Stijn Steels.
