Nicole Steigenga takes victory at the 40th EPZ Omloop van Borsele Women (1.1)

AG Insurance - Soudal celebrated victory today at the 40th EPZ Omloop van Borsele Women (1.1), where Nicole Steigenga sprinted to a great win after a strong collective performance from the team.

The WorldTour rider was supported throughout the day by four riders from the AG Insurance - Soudal Development Team: Anna Bruneel, Nina Lavenu, Billy Goossens and Amandine Muller, who all played an important role in controlling the race and keeping the team well positioned for the finale.

After a fast and nervous race, the teamwork proved decisive in the final kilometers, where Nicole was delivered perfectly for the sprint finish.

Reflecting on the victory, Steigenga said:

“We stayed well positioned at the front all day and the Young Wolves helped me a lot. In the last 3 km, Anna dropped me perfectly into another lead-out train, and from there I was able to sprint to the win.”
