One Team, Twenty Climbs: AG Insurance Heads to Brabantse Pijl

This coming Wednesday, the cycling world will focus on the seventh edition of the Brabantse Pijl. AG Insurance – Soudal will be at the start with a mixed selection of U23 and elite riders. This year, Ashleigh Moolman Pasio, Sarah Gigante, Julie Van de Velde, and Justine Ghekiere from the elite team, along with Febe Jooris and Lore De Schepper from the U23 team, will represent the colors of AG Insurance – Soudal.
The race begins at the Markt in Lennik, and the finish awaits on the Brusselsesteenweg in Overijse. The course, stretching over a distance of 134.9 kilometers and featuring 20 climbs, including the Bruineput and Eigenbrakelsesteenweg, leads the riders towards Overijse. There, a finale unfolds in and around the grape municipality. After an initial passage of the Hertstraat, Moskesstraat, Holstheide, and S-bend, the riders will face three local laps, each time confronting the same four climbs.
“I'm truly excited to start the Ardennes Classics with the Brabantse Pijl. The coming weeks hold special significance for us, as AG Insurance is the title partner of the Walloon Classics. After an incredibly productive training camp at altitude, the first time I've prepared this way for the Ardennes and the Vuelta, I'm eager to see the impact on my form. I'm feeling strong and ready, and I am really looking forward to race again with my team. What makes this race even more special is the opportunity to compete alongside our U23 riders for the first time. Racing with Febe and Lore is something I eagerly anticipate; as one of the more experienced members, I cherish my role in mentoring and supporting our young talents. Watching the team's performance so far, I'm confident in our collective strength and potential. Here's to aiming for some nice results in this race block!”, said Asleigh Moolman Pasio.
