our juniors Wins Team Classification on Final Day of Omloop van Borsele

The juniors of AG Insurance - Soudal splendidly concluded the three-day EPZ Omloop van Borsele. Auke de Buysser took home the purple jersey, a well-deserved reward for her victory in the sprint classification. Following her, Roos Müller secured the white jersey as the overall winner of the youth classification. As the icing on the cake, the team claimed the team classification after a demanding final stage of 76.8 kilometers through 's-Heerenhoek.
The general classification was dominated by Cat Ferguson of the National Team Great Britain in first place, followed by Célia Gery of the National Team France, with Fee Knaven rounding out the podium with a commendable third place.
The final stage was marked by an exciting mass sprint, where Carys Isobel Lloyd of the National Team Great Britain crossed the finish line as the winner. She was closely followed by Cat Ferguson of Team Great Britain and Mathilde Cramer of the National Team Denmark, who finished second and third, respectively.
“I won the purple jersey, which is for the intermediate sprints. Both yesterday and today, I was able to compete well. It was a tough race today with a lot of wind, and we had to keep changing positions. During the sprint, I was closing in until another rider shut the door on me and I couldn't continue sprinting. There was much more potential today. Of course, I'm a bit disappointed, but I'm pleased looking back on my weekend as a first-year junior among many top riders. My goal was the top 10 and I managed to secure a podium spot. It was a successful weekend”, said a happy Auke.
