AG Insurance – Soudal to GP de Plouay

Justine Ghekiere and Kim Le Court are racing again for the first time since Le Tour.

Plouay, a city that hosted the Worlds, the European Championships, as well as several Tour de France stages, is where our team will be in action this weekend. The 24th edition of the GP Plouay, a hilly 165km race where it’s difficult to keep things together due to the quick succession of short climbs and narrow roads, comes with the promise of fireworks Saturday afternoon.

AG Insurance – Soudal will be present at the start of the one-day race held in the picturesque region of Bretagne with Julia Borgström, Justine Ghekiere, Kim Le Court – one of the protagonists of this year’s Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, where she won a stage and wore the yellow jersey for several days – Alexandra Manly, the experienced Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio, a top ten finisher there on three occasions, and Gladys Verhulst-Wild.

“We return to the region from where the Tour started one month ago with plenty of confidence. Plouay means nervous racing the entire day, up and down the entire time; it’s the kind of course where the race could open early and which will take its toll on the riders. We have a strong and motivated team, and multiple options, so we’ll try to adapt to the different scenarios and fight for a good result at the end of the day”, said sports director Stijn Steels.
