In the fourth edition of the Paris – Roubaix Femmes avec Zwift, the AG Insurance – Soudal team not only proved to be capable of a remarkable team performance but also led Kim Le Court to an impressive top 10 finish after a strong sprint.

With only four riders, despite the absence of Maaike Boogaard due to illness, at the start in the Complexe sportif Jean Degros in Denain, AG Insurance – Soudal showed that commitment and motivation are now more crucial than ever in the world of cycling. The 148.5 km long course, which ended with a finish at the legendary Roubaix Velodrome, was filled with challenges, including seventeen notorious cobblestone sections totaling 29.2 kilometers. Among these sections are the feared Mons-en-Pévèle and Carrefour de l’Arbre.

Despite the obstacles and starting with a reduced team, AG Insurance – Soudal made a significant impact on the race. From sector 12, where the biggest splits in the peloton occurred, three of the four AG Insurance – Soudal riders were in a leading group of 25 riders. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the strong sprint by Kim Le Court, which not only earned her a spot in the top 10 but also emphasized the strength and perseverance of the entire team.

“At the start of the race, my wrist was not ideal, and all I could think was: 'This is Paris – Roubaix. It's supposed to be tough, injury or not. This could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in my career.' My legs actually felt really good; it was just a matter of managing the pain in my wrist. At one point, I was on the verge of crying, but I reminded myself that everyone is in pain. After that, I found my rhythm; I felt incredibly strong on the cobblestones. Unfortunately, I wasn't well positioned when the first four riders broke away, and I missed the connection. I tried to counter a lot of attacks and launched some myself. In the last two kilometers, I attempted to break away from my group, but they caught up. Eventually, I followed Lorena Wiebes into the Vélodrome and managed to finish tenth in the sprint. I'm really happy!” said a proud Kim.
