Sunday, the cycling world is once again on edge for one of the most iconic classics: the 21st edition of the Ronde van Vlaanderen. The AG Insurance - Soudal team is gearing up for a tough challenge with a course that features no fewer than twelve climbs and seven cobblestone sections, a true test for every rider.

The cobblestone sections, notorious for their ability to break up the peloton, include, among others, the Lippenhovestraat, Paddestraat, and Mariaborrestraat.

Equally impressive are the climbs that the riders must conquer. The Koppenberg, along with the legendary duo of Oude Kwaremont and Paterberg, promise to become crucial moments in the race again where the battle can erupt.

The starting shot will be given at the Markt in Oudenaarde, with an official start after 7.1 kilometers. The finish is expected around 17:44 on Minderbroedersstraat in Oudenaarde, after a grueling 163 kilometers.

The selection of AG Insurance – Soudal, consisting of Justine Ghekiere, Kim Le Court, Anya Louw, Ilse Pluimers, Maud Rijnbeek, and Julie Van de Velde, is ready to join the fray.

“Julie Van de Velde and Justine Ghekiere will be at the start on Sunday. I plan to deploy these two Belgian riders during the race so that we are clearly visible to our team and our main sponsor AG Insurance. Additionally, we have Ilse Pluimers, who is currently riding very strongly, along with Kim Le Court, and my hope to see them feature in the finale. The Koppenberg will undoubtedly be a turning point in the race again. Hopefully, our team can assist Kim and Ilse over the Koppenberg, and then it's up to them to finish it. We are not among the favorites, but I still hope that we can show ourselves in the competition, and hopefully, we will still have Kim or Ilse in the finale so that we can put something beautiful on display”, said Jolien D'hoore, Sports Director.
