Riding the Green Wave

On December 14, World Energy Conservation Day is celebrated globally. This universal initiative aims to increase awareness about the importance of energy conservation and efficient energy use. As a cycling team, we, along with our sponsors and partners, are committed to addressing this crucial issue.
Energy conservation is a commitment and effort to reduce energy consumption, either by decreasing service usage or by using energy efficiently. On World Energy Conservation Day, the focus is on emphasizing the importance of energy generation through unconventional sources such as biomass, biodiesel, biogas, wind, hydropower, tidal energy, solar power, and nuclear fusion. These unconventional energy sources have the potential to shape the future of carbon-neutral energy
Energy conservation is not only relevant on a global scale but also offers direct benefits to consumers. It contributes not only to lower living costs but also protects the environment from excessive resource consumption and CO2 emissions. Whether it's a factory, household, large commercial building, or small shop, every energy user and producer can contribute to energy conservation and efficient use.
In this context, we would like to highlight the contributions of our cycling team in collaboration with our partners and sponsors. First and foremost, we introduce Janom, a private equity investor focusing on the development and investment in renewable energy sources and innovative ventures. Their investments specifically target innovative technology companies within the energy and sustainable development sectors.
Ekopak, another sponsor of our cycling team, emphasizes its responsibility towards society and the planet. They believe that water, especially its recycling, drives the future circular economy. Ekopak aims for 100% water circularity within the industry, ensuring global access to clean and drinkable water.
Our sponsors, including AG Insurance, Soudal, Castelli, Quick-Step, Specialized, Safety Jogger, BMW Lemmens Le Couter, and many more of our sponsors, demonstrate their commitment to sustainability through various measures. This includes reducing their ecological footprint, investing in renewable energy, supporting projects such as bee protection through the Made in Abeilles initiative, using sustainable and recyclable materials in their production processes, promoting the circular economy, and much more.
Lastly, we have a collaboration with South Pole, an organization dedicated to developing and implementing comprehensive emission reduction projects. They assist companies, governments, and organizations worldwide in turning climate action into long-term opportunities for their business, including our women's team AG Insurance-Soudal Quick-Step and men's team Soudal Quick-Step.
As a cycling team, we take pride in working with partners who not only aim for sporting success but also embrace their responsibility for a more sustainable future. Together, we contribute to a positive impact on society and the environment.
