Sarah Gigante extends with AG Insurance - Soudal

AG Insurance - Soudal is pleased to announce that that 25-year-old Sarah Gigante will remain with the team for another season, extending her contract through the end of 2027.

The Australian climber has been an important part of the team since joining in 2024 and has already made her mark in The Wolfpack colours. In her first season with the team, Gigante claimed the overall victory at the Santos Tour Down Under, taking a memorable stage win on Willunga Hill in an impressive start to her time with AG Insurance - Soudal.

She enjoyed a standout 2025 season, playing a key role in some of AG Insurance - Soudal’s biggest successes of the year. At the Giro d’Italia Women, she claimed two stage victories, took the mountains classification and finished third overall, delivering a series of strong performances that highlighted both her individual qualities and the strength of the team around her. She carried that momentum into the Tour de France Femmes, where she delivered another impressive performance, finishing sixth overall after entering the final stage in second place and remaining firmly in contention for the podium until the final day. Her performances further underlined her status as one of the team’s key climbers and a proven stage-race contender.

The past year, however, has been a challenging one for Gigante. Following the Tour de France, she suffered a femur fracture in a training accident and underwent surgery, forcing her to spend more than a year away from racing. Today, she makes her long-awaited return to competition at the Faun Tour, marking an important milestone in her comeback.

The team is delighted to continue its collaboration with Gigante and looks forward to supporting her as she returns to racing and continues to pursue her ambitions with AG Insurance - Soudal.

With her return to racing now underway, Gigante can look ahead to the remainder of the season and to another year with AG Insurance - Soudal in 2027.
