Alex Manly impresses with second place at Australian National Criterium Championships

Alex Manly delivered a strong and aggressive performance at the Australian National Criterium Championships, finishing an excellent second place after an exciting and high-speed race.

From the opening laps, Manly showed clear intent, riding an attacking race and staying active throughout the criterium. Her efforts paid off when a select group of five riders managed to break away heading into the final phase of the race, setting up the decisive move for the podium.

Out of that leading group, Ruby Roseman-Gannon (Liv AlUla Jayco) launched a successful attack to take the national title. Shortly after, Manly made her own decisive move, accelerating clear of the remaining riders to secure a well-earned silver medal. Josie Talbot (Liv AlUla Jayco) completed the podium in third place.

Racing in the team’s new colours, Manly’s performance underlined both her current form and her confidence heading into the new season. Her proactive approach and willingness to take responsibility in the race were rewarded with a strong result at one of Australia’s most competitive national events.

Alex Manly:

“I’m really happy with my race. I loved getting out in the new kit and just giving it my best. Dani and I wanted to approach it with no regrets and I think I did that well. I’ve been working hard with my new coach Martijn and I think things are going in the right direction.”
