Solid team performance on Stage 1 of the TDU Women

The AG Insurance - Soudal Women’s Team opened the Tour Down Under with a solid and committed performance on Stage 1, a 137,4-kilometre course from Willunga to Willunga.

The team stayed well positioned and together throughout the day, controlling the race and responding attentively to key moments. In the finale, the riders showed confidence and initiative, committing fully as the pace increased in the final kilometres. Although the timing of the final move proved slightly too early, the performance highlighted the team’s cohesion and growing form.

Nicole Steigenga was the first AG Insurance - Soudal rider across the line, finishing in 14th place after a demanding opening stage.

The stage victory went to Ally Wollaston, a former rider of the team.
