Top 10 for Laura Lizette Sander

The riders of AG Insurance – Soudal took to the start line on Thursday for the second stage of the Tour of Belgium. The flat course, starting in Breskens, Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, covered a distance of 113.8 kilometers and finished in Knokke-Heist. Laura Lizette sprinted her way to an impressive eighth place in this relatively hectic stage. Febe Jooris managed to secure her young rider’s jersey and will start in the white jersey again on Friday.

“Today was a very hectic race from the beginning”, Febe Jooris commented after the race. “In the finale, there were a few major crashes, but fortunately, we were able to stay close to Team DSM-firmenich PostNL and SD Worx - Protime, which kept us out of the chaos. We did everything we could to stay as close to the front as possible, and we were able to achieve a nice top ten finish with Laura. The team worked hard to keep me well-positioned and out of the danger zones throughout the race, so I think we can call it a successful day with a great result.”
