Top 15 for Mireia in Thuringen Ladies Tour

AG Insurance – Soudal delivered a strong performance during the fourth stage of the Thuringen Ladies Tour. The stage, with start and finish in Mühlhausen, covered a total distance of 111,4 kilometers. In the final kilometers, a group of sixteen riders managed to break away from the peloton. It ended in an exciting sprint to the finish, where Mireia Benito secured a fifteenth place. Sarah Gigante followed closely with a sixteenth place.

Saturday marks the penultimate stage of this multi-day race, with a time trial over 31,5 kilometers in Altenburg. Here, we hope for strong performances from our national time trial champions: Mireia Benito, the Spanish champion, and Julia Kopecky, the Czech champion.

Sport director Fien Delbaere reflected on the day: “It was a tough day, but the team did an excellent job positioning Mireia for the general classification and tomorrow's time trial. We have four very good time trialists, and tomorrow is the day we've been looking forward to all week, especially because we have two national champions in our ranks.”
