AG Insurance – Soudal to the Tour of Britain

Mauritius Champion Kim Le Court is back in action for the first time since her Liège-Bastogne-Liège victory.

Our team will be at the start of the Tour of Britain for the first time, motivated to show the same determination and fighting spirit that have recently delivered a haul of strong results at the Tour of Norway, where in addition to a stage win and second overall, the AG Insurance – Soudal riders brought home also the climbers’ jersey and the best team classification.

The competition, taking place between 5-8 May, doesn’t have any major climbs, but the combination of short hills and narrow roads should make for some great racing and an exciting fight for the general classification all the way to Glasgow, where the tenth edition is set to conclude on Sunday.

AG Insurance – Soudal will be at the start of the Tour of Britain with a solid squad made up of Fauve Bastiaenssen, Julia Borgström, Liège-Bastogne-Liège winner Kim Le Court – who’s making her first appearance since writing history at the Belgian race – Anya Louw, Alexandra Manly, and Gladys Verhulst-Wild.

“We have a strong team heading into the Tour of Britain, a team that is ready for four days of full gas racing. The stages are unusually short, but they are not to be underestimated. Racing in Yorkshire and Scotland is always tough, so we will aim to capitalise on that and fight for some good results”, said sports director Dani Christmas.
