Update on Justine Ghekiere after crash in Grand Prix Stuttgart

This past Sunday, Justine Ghekiere unfortunately crashed during the Grand Prix Stuttgart which forced her to abandon the race. 

Examinations of our medical team confirmed that there were luckily no fractures but several abrasions and a bruised rib.

In the build-up to the World Championships in Rwanda, races like Stuttgart and the upcoming Grand Prix de Wallonie were important stepping stones in her preparation.

While it’s certainly not the ideal scenario, Justine remains determined to race the World Championships in Rwanda for Team Belgium. She will now take the necessary rest and recovery time, with the support of the medical staff and the entire team, to make sure she can line up at the Worlds in the best possible condition.
