European Champion Azzurra Ballan joins AG Insurance - Soudal Devo Team

AG Insurance - Soudal is proud to announce the signing of Azzurra Ballan, who will join the AG Insurance – Soudal Devo Team from 2027. The 18-year-old Italian rider joins the team at the start of an exciting new chapter in her career, just one day after claiming the European Junior Road Race title in Šenčur, Slovenia.

Ballan capped an impressive 2026 season in spectacular fashion on Sunday, becoming European Junior Road Race Champion after winning a four-rider sprint in Šenčur. 

The European title is the latest highlight in a breakthrough season for the Italian. Racing for Breganze Millenium, Ballan has already taken victories on the road at the Gran Premio Città di Gossolengo and the Valdobbiadene time trial, while also becoming Veneto Junior champion. On the track, she was part of the Italian team that won European Junior gold in the team pursuit in Cottbus.

Born in 2008 and based in Castelfranco Veneto, Ballan has established herself as one of the promising young talents of her generation. Her 2026 season has seen her combine strong results on both road and track, while her European road title now provides a fitting conclusion to an impressive junior campaign.
