AG Insurance - Soudal Quick-Step Welcomes Sarah Gigante in 2024

Our team is pleased to announce the arrival of Australian cyclist Sarah Gigante, who will strengthen the squad from next year.

Sarah Gigante, who won her first Australian road championships at the age of 18, has proven herself as a versatile and powerful rider. She has repeatedly demonstrated her talent by being crowned Australian champion annually, with victories in both road races and time trials. A pro since 2020, she will take on a new challenge next year together with our team, who will be part of the World Tour.

In October 2023, AG Insurance-Soudal Quick-Step and Movistar reached an agreement on the transfer of Sarah Gigante, and she will officially ride in our colors from the 2024 season.

“I've heard a lot about the team from my Australian friend and soon-to-be teammate, Anya Louw, whom I first raced against when I was ten years old. Everything she told me about AG Insurance - Soudal Quick-Step sounded amazing, and as soon as I spoke with team manager Natascha, I knew for sure that I really wanted to join. I greatly admire the radiating passion and teamwork that has been displayed since the team's inception, as well as the team's focus on long-term development, both on and off the bike. Supporting my new teammates and learning from them is something I can't wait for, and hopefully, I will contribute to some great successes. Additionally, it's fantastic to have the opportunity to support an incredible rider like Ashleigh Moolman Pasio, who excels in the same kind of hilly and attritional races that I personally enjoy the most. Continuing to improve my time-trialling abilities is a goal I strive for. My first race in the colors of AG Insurance-Soudal will take place during the Australian Time Trial Championships on January 4. I can't wait for 2024 to start", said a delighted Sarah.

Sarah has had a difficult period, but her results as a young rider show her enormous talent.
