Justine's Bio

Justine Ghekiere, a Belgian cyclist with a unique path to the pro peloton, has been part of AG Insurance - Soudal since 2023. Sport has always been central to her life: from her work as a physical education teacher and lifeguard in Knokke-Heist to a personal coach in Roeselare. During the lockdown, she discovered her passion for cycling: “I got on the bike, started competing in virtual races on an online platform, and won my first race. Through a performance test, I got in touch with teams.”

2024 was an unforgettable year for Justine. She made cycling history by winning the Queen of the Mountains classification in both the Giro d’Italia Donne and the Tour de France Femmes. In the Tour, she capped off her incredible season with a solo victory in stage seven to Le Grand-Bornand. These achievements showcased her strength as a climber and her fearless, determined racing style.

Justine’s versatility extends beyond the bike: she loves sushi and pizza and enjoys listening to popular radio hits to get in the right mood. In 2025, she aims to build on her success and leave her mark on major races once again.
